Sacrebleu !
Bl**dy Delicious since 2018

Bonjour !
We are Cecile & Adrien. You might wonder who we are and why Sacrebleu! Thank you for your interest. So here is a quick little backstory on us: in 2014, we left France for Australia for good. Living half a world away from everything we knew, recreating authentic French food became our way of bringing home to us. At 35, Adrien took a massive leap—walking away from his career to move back to Paris, train at Ferrandi, and sweat through the relentless heat of 3 Michelin-starred kitchens. Eight years ago, after endless sleepless nights, Sacrebleu ! was born as a humble Sydney market stall built on one pure obsession: perfecting the notoriously fickle Bordeaux canelé.

Today, we’re still 100% family-owned and hands-on every single day. We keep our menu small, double down on traditional technique, and aim to run a low-waste kitchen. So from farmers markets to opening our shops, and slowly extending the offer, the approach is and will always be to have a short selection of baked goods, done in small batches and done well. We may not have everything on offer all the time, but we try our best to delight. And we and our amazing team work around the clock to make it happen.

Sacrebleu! Is A Dated French Profanity Meant As A Cry Of Surprise Or Happiness.

The Phrase Originated From The Words “Sacré Dieu”, But Throughout History, It Was Considered To Be Taking God’s Name In Vain To Be Forbidden. ‘Dieu ‘ (I.E. God) Was Then Changed To ‘Bleu’ Which Rhymes With Dieu.

Sacrebleu ! First Usage Was First Seen In The 16th Century…  Just Like The Caneles !
